Why do some people seem so confident, while others would get sick at the very thought of making a speech, or taking part in a play, or asking someone out on a date?
Conditioning is what it all comes to. If someone grows up in relative isolation, or under strict rules, a persons confidence receives little food to grow. If a person grows up and is given every opportunity and encouragement along the way, a confident person is sure to emerge. There are many other factors involved, but that’s the bones of it. It is also possible that a confident person can lose confidence in themselves over time. Failure and doubt erodes the confidence of the best of people. Sometimes a single error can send someone on a downward spiral to low self esteem unless the problem is taken care of. This is often seen in sport, where a miscalculation can mean the athlete continues to fail, time and again.
Hypnotherapy cuts through the fabric of doubt and disbelief, to help a person become, or regain their natural confidence. The mind can reframe events on a sub-conscious level in the same way you might change your mind about something, or someone, depending on your mood.
